In 2060

After 50years, I think many things will certainly
change but not like the gap between 50years ago
and now. I mean, of course there will be advances
in every aspect but we have already entered the
most advanced stage in the historical and industrial
fields for the past decades. therefore I don't think
future people will be using the flying car or timemachine.
They will enjoy advanced science and industry in
a simillar to todays level. Also, i think they will enjoy
the art or culture more than present people. As time
goes by, people will become more lonely and cold-hearted,
so they will probably desire more about warm feeling
or humanistic feelings or emotions represented by
old traditional culture. However, I don't believe love
will disappear in the future in human society.
In conclusion, i think the future people will be want to
enjoy more their original or old fashion memory in their
heart and actually they will be using advanced tools
and means for their comfortable life.

* Why difficult to learn the second language

I think the second language is more difficult to
learn, compared with the first language
(mother tongue) because language is different
from knowlege or study. It means learning
lauguage needs 'adaptation' process. By the
time we learn second language, we have
already masterd the first language so we
get in trouble in our mind because we should
give up the easy way of communicating in the
first language and also we choose the hard
way of using the second language.

My roommate is Chinese student who is fluent
in speaking English. I asked her "Why do you
think it is difficult to learn a second language?"
She said that Asian people have already built
the structure of grammar in their brain naturally,
but she thinks most people probably can handle
these problems by studying hard. However,
the important thing is Asian people have totally
different cultural background, so they have
difficulties in understanding the foreign language
in the emotional aspects as well.

In conclusion, I thinks we have to speak and
communicate with our own native language,
and try to use the second language as much
as possible to master it.

* Provide healthy enviroment for our children

I think we can not solve the enviroment problem

without cooperation. The goverment should deal

with this problem. However, while we are

complaining to the government policies, how

about raising trees in our garden to try to protect

the environment in our village? Not to develop

the forest or sea is the good way to protect the

environment. however, it has no realilty when

we see the current situation. In my opinion ,

planting a lot of trees would be a good way to

provide a pure and healthy enviromnent for

our children. The environment becomes polluted

by people through their consumption of too much

energies and resources. Therefore, leading a more

humble life is also important to protect the

environment. This opinion can be sounds like

too basic to you however, I am sure about the

trees might be children's good friend ..^^

* Easy road or Hard road

I agree with the opinion that we have to

choose hard road as a student. It means

we have to study hard when we want to

achieve a certain purpose(goal), which

can be our dream, of course. However ,

sometimes I can't understand why I

should really study hard tolearn because

sometimes we can see some people who

succeed without any hard work. However,

when I listen to older people's advice,

they usually said I have to try hard in

everything not only to be be successful

or lead a comfortable life but also get

a proud of yourself. Now I strongly

believe in their advice.

My major is design. As you know , Disign has
various fields to be applied, such as architecture,
jewerly and fine art and so on. Nowadays we are
living ,surrounded by so many different design
ideas. If you want to be good at designing, you
have to be a creative person. If you are not a
creative person but you want to be have a get
a creative brain, design would be one of the best
choices to develop your creativity. Also i want to
recommend to you that never to give up any idea
you have in mind. Also,when you have a free time,
look around you and think about many things
and try to find out what you want to see.
This is a desirable attitude for somebody who
wants to be a designer ^^*

The importance of writing well

I think writing is the best way to have someone know about my one's own thinking or opinion. A well written writing (article or letter) has a power of moving someone's mind. Thesedays, 'Writing' is considered as one of the most important and effective skill for communication.

I want to tell you about my childhood memory about a letter. When i was 9-years-old ,I had a fight with my best friend. It was my first fight with the friend, therefore I really didn't know what should I do that time. Actually, both of us had a fault. That's why I wanted to apolozy to her and to forgive her. However I was afraid to face and speak to her. Also I was really not sure whether I could can I explain my own thinking exactly in front of her. So I decided to write a letter to her. That was my first time to write a such a long paragragh(letter) by my self with honesty. I remember I even showed the letter to my mother to know it was good or not.

After all, I could recieve a reply letter from her. Still now, I talk with that friends about our first precious writing. I believe the letter solves our problems and misunderstanding about each other. :)

Manny student said Iowa City is little bit

boring than other county but if you want

to join the Iowa life, getting out to your

room. I think Iowa City is very beautiful

and peaceful. Therefore the rest of time

when you finish your homework, enjoy

your Iowa life. Also I heard about summer’s

temperature which is really high so I think

care about our healthy is very important

either. For instant, drinking enough water

and never forget sun block cream..

and so on. However, most important thing

is improving our English skill. ^-^

A cat.

I want to get a cat as a present for my next birthday. If i get a cat, it would be an unforgettable birhday to me. Most of all, cat is my favorite animal because i think cat is very charming and dorable... Also i don't need to training them...they are very clean.. and does't bother their owner. Almost parents don't like a cat...because their smell..or symbol by korean culture. Actually, I have many things what I want for my birthday present but i think cat would be special present to me ~~!! maybe she(cat) will be my best friend o_o~~!!

Contact lense.

An invention I will introduce is a

contact lense. These days, numberless

people using contact lense as much as

wearing glasses. Users can comfortable

feeling of wearness. A contact lense is invented

by Kevin Tuhoy in 1948. However, Leonardo

da vinci had alreary thought about concept

of contactlense. I think Kevin Tuhoy might be

such a brave person. Because, i was suprised

how to thought such as put somthing materials

inside a "eye".I think the idea of contant lense

was arouse up the revolution that time.

However I'm sure it is such a invention to

most of people who has poor eyesight.

The Old Capitol

If my friend visit here (Iowa city) , I want to

show her the old capital building.

When I first arrived at Iowa, I was very

impressive about gold dome,which made

from gold. However Old capitol ,

November/ 20/ 2001 , was struck

by fire . Destroyed the building's 160

year old cupola, dome and bell.

However now, I can't find the trace of

fire destroied, not at all.

Old capitol building looks brave and

imposing. I'm sure that my friend

will be amazed after look at the

Oldcapitol .

My memory of LA

When I was 10 , I went to my cousin's house

which placed in California, LA. I could smell

the lovely scent when I wasfirst arrived in

L.A. All the people, who walk on the street,

look like very happy. Also, the atmosphere

was beautiful and very peaceful. There are

many trees and flowers all around the street.

It was awsom. Few days later, my cousin was

married with beautiful lady. That was my first

time that I actually saw a wedding seremony

on my two eyes not in a TV. Even now, when

I saw a beautiful bride in a TV then I still

remind of L.A.'s wedding. Someday , I want

to visit L.A. again with my youthful memories.

Best advisor.

When I was highschool student, I usually confused about my major. My major was little unusul field. That fact make me unaccepted about my dream. Actually that time was hard for me to handle with my self. If I couldn't meet my friend Sun, I couldn't hold that time easily. She always act like very resonable to me , also she show me her grown thinking way. Not only those time, but also before I set out from Korea , she never spare her advise for me. Sun is my bestest advicor . I really happy with my friend who is good at counsel .

When I was highschool student,

my best friend was recomended this book.

It is romance, never common story .

It's written by 'Haruki Murakami' in 1989.

It was also bestseller.

I think 'steady seller' is more suitable expresion.

Any way.. this is not happy story

but I think it's not bad story , I believe.


Actually, those days

(when i was highschool) I don't like reading.

But curiously I read this book 3 times.

I don't know why, but maybe I will read again soon.

Some one said this book was boring,

but I think this book is awsome.


author usually used.. kind of subtled,

delicated expression.

The more I read , the more I tumble for story.


When I was reading twice, I'm little shoking.

Because it feels totally defferent from first one..


And also it make me loves Beatles.

Because this book contains some music's title of Beatles,

which was one character's favorite song.

This books title is also beatles's one.

In conclusion, this book made me feel strong , emotonally.

Thats why this product was my favorite book.
